Meet Mrs. Lauterbach
Stacey was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to Carmel, Indiana at age 4 (a perfectly normal transition). Stacey grew up in Carmel, Indiana where she attended school from K-12 in the Carmel Clay School System. From there, she attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. Stacey is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Reading in the Elementary Classroom through Grand Canyon University (Online).
Stacey recently got married (September 8th, 2018) to her husband Daniel, who she met when she moved to Eugene three years ago. They dated for 2 years and got engaged last fourth of July! Stacey’s parents still live in Indiana and her sister lives in Daytona Beach, Florida but will be moving to Bend next year! One thing her family loves to do together is watch basketball– they are all huge fans of Indiana basketball (Go Hoosiers!)
One thing that Stacey loves to spend her days doing is being outdoors with her family and friends. She loves exploring the Pacific Northwest and has had the privilege of seeing a lot of this area. Some of her favorite trips have been exploring the coast in Astoria and the triangle rock slides! Another thing Stacey deeply enjoys is watching basketball. She loves to attend Oregon Ducks and Portland Trailblazer games. Of course, she takes advantage of every opportunity to root for her IU Hoosiers!
Stacey feels it is her purpose to love God with all of her heart, soul, mind, and strength (Matthew 22). She has been living as a disciple of Jesus for the past 6 years and is devoted to loving God and spreading His love to those around her. She is currently serving at her local church leading a campus ministry at UO, NCU, and LCC with her husband. She loves ministering to the campus students and is so grateful for the opportunity God has given her.
