welcome

Welcome to Kindergarten!

I hope that you had an exciting summer.  I am looking forward to this school year and all that it promises.  I am praying that each of you feel His peace and joy as we enter this school year.  We will be digging into reading, math, and so much more!  This year will be filled with fun, laughter, and lots of Jesus!  The word God has put on my heart for this school year is ENCOURAGE.

God created you to do amazing things!

“Gracious words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”

Proverbs 16:24

I cannot wait to meet those of you that are new to our school and to see those of you returning!

I pray that God’s sweet blessings pour over each one of you!

Blessings,
Mrs. Connie

Meet Mrs. Connie

Connie is from the Eugene area and spent some time living in Missouri.  She went to New Hope Christian College were she received her Bachelors in Christian Education and is currently attending Grand Canyon University where she is pursuing her Masters in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development.  She has professional experience working with children rehabilitating and supporting their individual needs at a women’s treatment center, Jasper Mountain Center, Lane ESD, and she is beginning her 15th year here at WCS.

Connie has been married to her best friend T.J. for 13 years and loving every moment of it!  She has three kids who have her heart and attend WCS.  Landon, a sixth grader who loves football, baseball, and Jesus. Bailey, a first grader who loves animals, her grandma, and praying.  Elsie, a preschooler who loves people, organizing, and bringing joy to everyone she meets. They have two black labs and a big orange cat. The family enjoys the outdoors, sports, and being together.

If Connie could spend time doing anything it would have to be camping or hiking with friends and family.  If she can’t do either of those it would be relaxing at home watching hallmark movies and drinking coffee while visiting with loved ones.  Her favorite place to be away from home is hiking a mountain top to watch the sunrise.

Her relationship with Jesus is the most important thing to her. A book that captures her heart is “Messy Grace” by Caleb Kaltonbach that describes having grace and loving the way Jesus loved others. Another book is “Choosing Joy” by Candace Pain, the Chewbacca mom that describes how to choose joy in the midst of heartache and life in general. Grace and joy are two Godly characteristics that we can choose to experience.
