Connie Kelley

Kindergarten Teacher

“But Jesus called to the little children to him and said, ‘Let the little come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'” Luke 18:16 NIV

Mrs. Kelley joined Willamette Christian School in 2003. At New Hope Christian College, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian education. She is currently attending Grand Canyon University, pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education and early childhood development.

In addition, she has supported the individual needs of children at Jasper Mountain Center and through Lane Education Service District’s special needs program. She has also been a preschool teacher, office assistant and youth minister.

In her WCS kindergarten classroom, she focuses on developing beginning math skills and creating individualized reading and writing programs for students to instill a love of learning, reading and writing. The science, art and social studies curriculum focuses on exploring the world and everything in it. Students discover who God is through daily Bible lessons.

Mrs. Kelley is married to her best friend, T.J., and they have three kids who attend WCS: Landon, Bailey and Elsie. The family also includes two black labs and a big orange cat. They all love the outdoors, sports and being together.

Mrs. Kelley says if she could spend more time doing anything it would be camping or hiking, relaxing at home watching Hallmark movies or drinking coffee, while visiting with loved ones. Her happy place is hiking to a mountaintop to watch the sunrise.

“I love the family atmosphere at WCS, being able to teach students about Jesus, and teaching in general. I hope to impart a love for Jesus and a hunger to learn to my students. I desire to see my students enjoy the process of learning.”
