About Mrs. Mitchell
Welcome to 4th Grade at Willamette Christian School. I have been described by some as fun, enthusiastic, dedicated and super mom. But, most of all I am committed to the Lord, my family, and my students. I am a life-long Seventh-day Adventist christian and have lived in California, Missouri, and Oregon. I grew up in Roseburg, Oregon and attended Roseburg Jr. Academy. My high school years were spent at Milo Adventist Academy and my college years at Pacific Union College in the Napa Valley in California. I have been teaching in one form or another since 1990 and have watched my students grow up to be fine Christian adults. I want my students to love Jesus the way I love Jesus, and I hope that what I have taught them will have a lasting effect on their lives.
I have a great husband who works for the University of Oregon and two beautiful children Ryan 20 and Emily 14 and a fun-loving dog named Beethoven. I enjoy traveling, friends, reading, spending time with my family and playing board games.

Mission For The Class:
My students will be challenged to read, write, and think at higher levels. It is my goal to develop students' interests and get them excited about learning! In my classroom, I hope to encourage students to be life-long learners. I will give them the tools necessary to become creative thinkers, and make sure everyone wants to come to another exciting day of school.
